My glasses should have an alarm to tell me when they're covered in dirt. Because currently I just get a headache and spend half an hour wondering what caused it before I think to take the glasses off and wipe them.

And no, I don't have anything more dramatic to worry about right now. Feels good, that.

You could rig up a tiny really sensitive light sensor to one corner that buzzed when your glasses got dirty. Of course then it would probably go off everytime the sun went behind a cloud or if you wore them at night but, y'know, these are minor considerations. ;)

Or you could possibly have a really complex laser system that mapped the surface of your lenses and could monitor the build up of dirt. Although these glasses probably wouldn't be light enough to wear. Damn. Maybe you should talk to Citroen or whatever car manufacturer it is that developed those smart windscreens.
